Dubrovnik 19th October 2024

Dubrovnik old town. After checking in through customs with Michael being asked for a visa, he said no and they let him through. Interesting, we walked to the Monet, she is a beautiful old lady. The staff were not ready for embarkation so we left our bags and walked back only to find customs did not want to let Michael through as they had stamped his passport. Totally unconcerned about me a d my EU passport.

We walked the 3.7km to the Old Town, beautiful. We had something to eat but did not climb the wall. At 40euro each, it seemed expensive. No pensioner discount.
Both Michael and my meals cost 16 euro each, it think my 6 spring rolls were tiny. The beer at 6 euro each, in the heat, was lovely.
We walked back, still too early for embarkation, Michael found the communism museum. Very interesting. Spent over an hour trying to understand the foundations and the workings of the communism regime.
After the museum we walked back to the boat and checked in.
Beautiful Monet 💜 dinner was served as a buffet this evening, wine and beer included, so I will likely pick up weight even though I have kept up the #dailyj which I do in the smoking area. No gym so I have been doing the hotel 30 mins sessions in the smoking area of the boat and have experienced the most beautiful sunrises.
