Uneventful flights with no delays, very interesting manual scanning mechanism that was used by security to scan electronic equipment, the backpacks and our palms. Mike thinks they scanning for narcotics but the handling of explosives would also leave traces.
Leaving for Manchester at 01:15 and then onto St Bees Max 13 degrees Min 12 degrees and raining. 🙈👣🙈

We stayed in long street in a lovely hotel, noisy outside but cozy inside. Early start and now at the airport in Cape Town waiting - excited and nervous.
Carolyn, Michelle, Andrew, Terrance joined Michael and I for pizza and pasta. Best Banting pizza I have ever had. Great company. So good to see Andrew before he sets off on his adventure with Amy, Terrance, Carolyn, Michelle, love you all - so lovely to catch up.
The classic high level walk from the Irish Sea in St Bees to North Sea Robins Bay - 307km
To Cape Town tomorrow, Manchester the next day, Transpenine Express and then the start of the walk on the 2nd July. Thank you all who help me once again get to this point. So many people - I am grateful and know that without you, I would not be able to go!!
