We landed at Malta International at 12:00 after another delay. This time we waited on the tarmac to remove a gentleman with a medical emergency that happened as Malta airways was about to depart.
Our accommodation is a beautiful apartment. Modern inside with a typical Malta facade of limestone walls and bright red, green and blue balconies.
We walked all around Sliema the beautiful waterfront and tiny streets. After nightfall and hungry we bought some traditional pies filled with either mushy peas or white cheese. Inexpensive at 0.60c each and very tasty.
After lots of walking, we settled on a Turkish restaurant for dinner, Michael had a wrap with mixed chicken, lamb and salad and I had the vegetarian option made out of chick peas and salad.
Exhausted we climbed into bed and slept 12 hours.
