11th June 2022 Heddon on Wall to Chollerford

Last night we walked another 1km to go to the pub down the road, lovely food. Michaels fish and chips was huge, over the plate. Their braai was ingineous.
We had a good breakfast and set off in a taxi back to Heddon on Wall where we got lost at the start, but we got to see the wall, yay our first sighting of the wall.
Some road walking but mostly over fields of wheat or barley with a stop for our stamp and a cheese scone at Robin Hood pub.
27km at the end, I felt my legs in the last 5km so took out the sticks for the first time. They definitely took the pressure off and am at least using my arms as well 😂
The George hotel, we stayed for 2 nights.
Fields and more fields.
Fields of poppys
Barefoot babe - walked just about all the way barefoot.
The George Hotel is on the banks of the river Tyne.
