Day 3 Port de Soller and town - Sunday 9th November 2024

Darren and I drove down to Soller, a lovely journey through gorgeous countryside. Zoe had things to do and caught the bus.

Soller, the house with Darren, Zoe and the cat. Such a beautiful multi story apartment. Very Germanic way of furnishings and bedding.

Our amazing octopus tentacle, tasty.

Beautiful multi-story shop. Closed Sunday, Zoe was ready to purchase two bed side tables.

Church in Soller.

Mexican Cocktails yummy!!

Port de Soller, such good food, soooo much like Malta!!

Zoe took us for lunch of Tapas, garlic prawns, sardines, padrone peppers, olives bread, salad, octopus, scallops - delicious.

Day 3 Jasi (Darren's Boat), Bellver Castle - Saturday 9th November 2024

Darren showed me throughout his boat and we met Katie James who was looking after Jasi the gorgeous boat while Darren has time off to visit with his mama. Loved Darren's office, the engine room, everything in its place. Beautiful.
We walked to Bellver Castle. It was designed as a royal residence and defensive fortress, in keeping with strategies conceived by the Royal House of Mallorca.
The hilltop constituted an excellent lookout point for keeping a close watch on any external threat by land or sea. From the 18th centaury onwards, it was converted into one of the island's main prisons. The castle was a especially useful when highly influential political and social figures needed to be silenced and kept in isolation. For more than seven hundred years it has witnessed some of the most glorious, turbulent, sad and cruel episodes in Mallorca's history.

Now it is used as a wedding venue, we watched a bride and groom walking up the Castle steps on their way to getting married.

Day 1 Afternoon walk around Palma - Thursday 7th November 2024

My bedroom in Zoe's house, I have flowers and candles on the bedside table, so beautiful. Just perfect.

Darren took us out for a dinner of Ramen, real Ramen served by a robot, was so great. Huge portion and yes it has floating eggs and it was really tasty.

Darren and Zoe loved their South African spoils, I was so worried about bringing them through customs yet there were no customs
