Landed in Qatar at 06:00 with a long layover. We walked every gate lane of the airport. There are four lanes and each is around 1Km round trip and one ends in a beautiful garden with incredible animations.
Found the Starbucks. Standard Frappacino for Michael and a flat white for me costs R250.
Huge pinocchio and various other play centres for kids made out of wood. Everything is bigger and better, huge corridors, a giant shopping mall, such a contrast to Heathrow. We landed 22:00 at Heathrow where everything work, is serviceable but much smaller corridors and no staff to give directions. Very well signposted so we were always aware of where to go.
Going to stay at Costa Coffee until 5am and then take the metro to Victoria station where we will catch the coach to Tilbury for the start of the Iceland Cruise.
